This year inquiry will focus around the theme of social entrepreneurship. Students will be creating a enterprise that addresses a social issue of their choosing. In creating a entrepreneurship students will discover their passions and character traits, research and develop ideas, build a business team, create business plans, learn about budgets, advertising, as well as how to give speeches. In creating social enterprises students will further develop their problem-solving abilities, creativity, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and communication techniques. Also, interwoven into this course will be both art and computer science. Some skills that students will gain in computer science include: digital portfolio and digital footprint creation, presentation and email skills, and how to be a curator of content.

A Planner- We will provide you one the first week of school
Binder (3 ring binder with subject dividers for Inquiry... your other subjects may require you to have this as well... just make sure you have a section for inquiry.)
Loose lined paper for your binder
Pencils (mechanical or regular-whatever you prefer)
Pen for correcting/editing
A highlighter
Colored pencils or erasable colored pens (You can purchase on Amazon. The best ones are the Pilot FriXion Erasable Gel Pens.)
